Oilers activate Ryan Cramer from IR, waive Jason Weeks
« on: January 21, 2012, 03:38:28 PM »
Hate to see Weeks waived again, but he knows his role.  Weeks filled in nicely and had some good games offensively, but Cramer is obviously the better asset.  From the word I heard last week, which may have been erroneous, he was having 'blood trouble', which usually means clots, and the info given to me was said he was going to be put on SEIR (season ending IR).  Obviously not the case, and good to hear.

Let's hope he's ok and remains that way; we've seemed to be a little lost without him to complete the Cramer-Ullrich-Clarke line.  We need to start winning on the road...heck, we just need to start winning again.  1 of our last 7 isn't going to cut it.  At least it appears we gutted it out last night against a premier team.

Usually bad form to reply to one's own post, but I did notice that tonight Weeks was doing Color with Loeber.  Good to finally start getting some road wins consistently, let's hope that rubs off in Evansville tomorrow and they can keep it going down the road.

Gordo usually pulls color commentary.  Looks like the row's gonna be crowded.

Think this might have been a special deal since Weeks was waived today to make room for Cramer and he was already travelling with the team.

I read some of the tweets from the guys and they all hate the bus we have now.  That includes Loeber.  This was his to begin the road trip.

I didn't realize they didn't have the deluxe bus they had before.  DOes this mean there'd getting the "cheap treatment"?

I'm also sorry to see Weeks have to go.  I know that other guys he fills in for score more, but in my opinion, the other guys are also lazier in our own zone.  Weeks gives it all at both ends of the ice.
