Looks like Lavoie will be tonight's referee.

Who gets the start?  Ian?  Christie?

Decisions, decisions.  I think unless Ian is still sick, he'll get the nod for tonight.

Ugly. Except for about a 10 minute stretch of the second, this team looked disinterested and made Christie look mediocre. Then Ian in relief didn't look much better.

Time to regroup.

Missouri Mavericks takes down Tulsa Oilers

The Tulsa Oilers have been in a slump lately, and it reared its ugly head again Tuesday night at the BOK Center.

Missouri scored two goals in each period and Tulsa had no answer as the Oilers fell 6-2 in Central Hockey League action to the Mavericks. It was the Oilers' sixth loss in seven games and dropped them to fifth place in the Berry Conference. It was Missouri's eighth win in nine games.

"We gave up the least amount of shots we have given up all season and gave up six goals," coach Bruce Ramsay said. "Not one of our greatest efforts after a big win at Allen. I am disappointed."

Dylan Clarke scored once in the second period, and Troy Ofukany found the net late in the third period. But it was too little, too late.

And it does not help that Missouri has dominated the Oilers this year.

"Missouri has had our number this year, and our schedule is not getting any easier," Ramsay said of losing three games to the Mavericks. "It is the only team in the league we have a tough time with.

"Our guys have to step up. After having such a good home record, we come back to do that."

The power play was a factor in the game as Missouri connected on 2-of-4 chances while the Oilers were 0-of-7.

"We only gave up 19 shots, which is not very much, and they only had three shots in the third period and scored two goals," Ramsay said. "We are still hanging in there, but we have to put some wins together."

That could prove difficult. Starting Friday, Tulsa begins a five-game road swing that includes two games at Turner Conference leader Fort Wayne.

"We have a lot of tough games coming up. We have to put this behind us and move on. But I will make sure they remember it tomorrow."
